Consolidated B-24 Liberator

Flying as a prototype on December 29, 1939 as the XB-24, it would have been almost unimaginable that over 18,000 Liberators would be built. The B-24 flew in Europe, Africa in the Middle East, and as an anti submarine aircraft, it's main field of operation was in the Pacific against the Japanese.

The B-24 was the mainstay of the Royal Canadian Air Force's battle against German U-boats in the Atlantic during the Second World War.
