Rust Proofing
Back Up Next

First the cowl was coated with zero rust by inserting  long stiff wire with sponges crimped on the ends. Using a light and white zero rust, it was not too diffucult to coat everything fully, including the inner seam areas. It will tak two more coats to finish.

The underside of the cowl, and upper firewall were also coated. The inner roof and framing components were then covered with zero rust.

The white zero rust is not the final colour, but is very easy to see flaws in welding, or small pin holes that need to be addressed prior to painting and reassembly.
