| The first body shop I took this
car to, really screwed up the drivers side quarter panel. A 3/4"
hunk of bondo fell off my brand new 1/4 panel, and the work began. Don't
use West Coast Warrenz, unless you like a lot of bondo, and wasting
hundreds of hours and lots of money!
A side note: The ongoing reconstruction has exposed more and more
botched up metal welding and reassembly. Drivers side front inner apron
was welded in 3/4" too high. Firewall corners were welded in 1
1/2" too close to the drivers compartment. Quarter panel ends were
welded in the wrong shape = did not fit the factory quarter panel
extensions (end caps). Quarter panel lips and outer wheelhouses were cut
when he attempted to roll the lips. There is really way too much to
list, but you get the idea. Too bad 'cause if he had studied the chassis
dimension chart provided to him or taken a little more time on layout,
none of this would have likely happened. Live and learn
