| Thanks to a few tips from other Mustang enthusiasts, the rear wheel well
modifications were not too difficult. The front portion of the wheel well
was enlarged. The bumper top had a little metal trimmed off which
projected into the wheel well. The flange of the inner wheelhouse was dollied
a little to fold sharp edges away from potential tire contact. The wheel
lip was trimmed and rolled slightly when the new rear quarters were mated
with the new outer wheelhouses.
The 275-40-18 tires used for mock up have about 1.25 inches of
clearance on all sides when centered in the wheelhouses.
