The Mustang is getting all of the
needed areas addressed. One of the things we are wrestling with is what
to replace and what not to. I do not want to do this again for a long
long time, so large hunks of metal are being chopped out.
The badly installed floor pans from the previous body shop are being
cut out, and replaced with full floor sides. The seat pans will be
replaced.
The rear quarters had a lot of bondo on one side, plus a lot of
fender lip rust. It is easier to put in a big piece as opposed to a
small one so the rear quarter fenders will go. Outer wheel houses on
both sides will go as well.
The front frame of this old mustang is pretty rusty, and did have
some damaged or previously repaired sections. The verdict, the full
front frame is going to be replaced, from the frame rails to the shock
towers and much inbetween,
