Paint Preparation Continues on 67 Mustang Chassis
Back Up Next

Did the final block sanding of the high build primer on the underside of the hood. It looks nice in the pictures and, trust me, it IS very nice. I am really happy with the underside of the hood (Yes I did this work myself, and it took 2 nights approximately 10 hours total on the inside of the hood.) It will look almost as nice as the top!

The body shop has done the final paint prep on the inside of the engine bay, trunk and door jambs. They are doing a nice job. Note the bucket of water and inside are sponges and sanding pads sitting beside the car. The shop was busy with collision work (their bread and butter) so the 'stang went to the back burner. That is okay with my, this week they should have time to spray the jambs (I am told.)

Fiberglass front fascia is done, but I still have work to do on the doors and front fenders, and hope to drop those parts off at the body shop late this week.
