Finishing the Body Panel and Metal Installation
At last the body work comes close to the end, where we can start to put the parts back on, mock things up, prior to sending the body out for it's first coat of paint check out the finishing body pics as the Mustang begins to resemble a complete chassis once again!

The mustang begins to come together. There is finally a foundation for which to begin to restore the car. More money and welding than was 1st thought, but I'm sure all mustang restorers go through a lot of these same issues. One bright light is that extensive sandblasting has revealed the the cowl is solid, except for one of the tin cylinders that extended into the cowl. Both were cut out anyway, to make it easier to surface protect the inner cowl. I'll probably make replacements from stainless steel.

In the Body Panel Installation, the doors, fenders, quarter panels, and other pieces are all being put together and aligned, as the car begins to take shape once again. The cost is much higher than I first thought. It will delay completion and have a huge impact on budget, but should be a rock solid foundation for out Shelby look-a-like.

Finally the Welding of the body panels is taking place. Of course at this point we are way over budget, check out the progress.
