Hidden Wiring Engine Bay
Back Up Next

The hidden wiring work was a lengthy process, but one of the most rewarding of all the mods on the Shelby. First the wiring harnesses for the engine were disassembled and untangled. Once labeled the unnecessary wires were deleted. Colour codes were tried to be maintained as much as possible. A few extra items were also included. A power distribution center in the front of the engine bay, near where the old battery would be. This included a marine grade fuse panel, and a box for relays. The horns, head lights, (future) fog lights, cooling fans were all among the circuits which received relays. Additionally the hidden radio antenna was also located in the front fascia area. Heavy power cables were routed from the battery in the trunk direct to the starter. The starter has it's own solenoid, so this was also deleted from the mustang wiring.
